Aging Gracefully Isn't About Luck!

Aging Gracefully Isn't About Luck!

When it comes to fashion, there will always be trends. They may not reflect your personal style, and that’s ok.  Personalized style brings out the best in a person and the same applies to one’s beauty regimen. While trends come and go in both fashion and beauty, it is not always a good idea to follow them. Lasers might be trendy, but they aren’t right for everyone. Your best friend’s holy grail product might have cleared up her breakout but caused irritation and redness for you. Creating your own personal beauty routine will be beneficial in aging gracefully and looking your best.

The #1 goal my amazing clients want to focus on is skin aging.  Specifically, their wrinkles spots and other so called ‘imperfections’.  Instead of focusing on them it is best to put the work in to keep them at bay.  Most people do not look like the models in the magazines (including the models themselves) and not everybody has the same genetics or skin conditions of the people that they are comparing themselves to. Stressing about these things will only stop you from being the best version of yourself.

The media loves to cover trends, trends in products, in ingredients, and in treatments. Skincare routines should not be trendy. You need a personalized one that works for your specific skin type. It is most effective to work with an expert to help you create that regimen and then it is up to you to be consistent! The goal is flawless, balanced, and healthy skin.

Seventy percent of how we feel and what we look like comes from what we put in our mouths. A diet that is nutritious and balanced will make you feel good and will help you look your best through every decade! Regarding the other 30%, there are many daily routines aside from skincare that you can do to keep yourself healthy from within. No matter what this looks like to you, make sure you are consistent.

Protecting your skin from harmful UVA rays is paramount in the anti-aging process. The sun accounts for 80% of skin aging, so sunscreen, vitamin C, and hyaluronic acid are simple ingredients to add into your daily routine to help skin age gracefully. Remember: your skin starts at your forehead and ends at your chest. So, when applying products, make sure you don’t forget about your décolletage.

While a morning routine is important, it is the evening one that makes the biggest difference. When your body is at rest, the skin is able to better process and absorb important ingredients in the products you use, so, try hard not to skip it! If you don’t have a ton of time, here is the simplest skincare routine.
